User feedback

May be of some use to writers interested in using blogs (that he suggested to me)or self-publishing (that he told me another of his clients was doing). Some of his comments on my work suggested he had not read it
thoroughly in spite of being paid $650 to do so.

"Miranda of USA" misrepresents the exchange, and our fees. We charge a set fee of $140 for initial MS examination and comment; $450 for a full critique of a book up to 100,000 words; $650 for a full crit of a book of more than 100,000 words. These are comparable with many appraisal and advice agencies.

On the rare occasions that we consult for walk-in, unsigned clients to advise them on strategies for their work, we charge $140 per hour (this is the $35 per 15 minutes she mentions) and this takes place in our offices in Brisbane, Australia. That was not a price we offered to "Miranda USA" at any time, but an indication of the cost of the time she was demanding we give her gratis.

This agent wanted $35.00 for every 15 minutes of reading and representing my script. When I said 'no, thank you' he emailed me the following comment:
'Good luck finding a schmuck to represent you'.
