Company aiming to bring a fresh approach to the publishing industry, which we feel is excluding some new talent and being slow to create innovate marketing and publicity ideas. The principle difference between this and other publishing companies is that we are reviewing submissions for potential rather than simply whether they are already at a publishable standard. Where we believe we have found such potential, we work alongside the author to provide guidance that will maximise the chance of success and produce a finished work in a timely manner. In most cases we look to provide assistance at the re-drafting stage, but in some cases we do look at projects that are currently being completed. We do not charge any fees at all for the editorial assistance we provide. Our income will come purely from publishing the finished book. The reasoning behind this approach is that it takes a wide range of skills to produce a publishable novel. These include writing ability, plotting, character development etc, but also the ability to identify/consider the qualities that will result in sales, such as identification of the potential audience and marketability. Currently, agents and publishers seem to expect finished manuscripts that excel in all of these areas. We believe that it is unreasonable to expect writers, especially new writers, to be able to do this, and that this approach is excluding from the publishing process significant potential that simply requires assistance in one or two areas. We aim to find this potential, provide the assistance required, and publish the work.
