Description
Agent seeking upmarket and literary fiction for adults, with an interest in boldly drawn characters, distinct voices, and work grounded in the real world. Open to campus novels, subversive westerns, atmospheric mysteries, self‑aware thrillers, and lightly speculative or genre‑bending projects, but not fantasy, romantasy, or hard science fiction. For middle grade, looks for elevated, whimsical, character‑driven fiction engaging with big themes, including historical, metafictional, and eccentric mysteries. For young adult, handles contemporary, realistic, and literary work with sophisticated narrators, real‑world problems, road‑trip adventures, outspoken protagonists, and campus novels. Open to select picture books from author‑illustrators. In nonfiction, seeks narrative projects, cultural microhistories, pop‑culture critiques, deep dives into underexplored subcultures, and work by journalists or multidisciplinary creators. Submissions require a query letter and the first fifty pages pasted into the email body.Approaches
