Open to queries the 1st–5th of each month. Actively seeking adult fiction with a strong preference for upmarket and commercial work. Drawn to contemporary fiction, women’s fiction, sharp romantic comedies with an original hook, psychological thrillers, mystery, and light, clever horror. Ensemble casts, unexpected plots, and smart humour are especially welcome, as are diverse narratives including LGBTQ+ and underrepresented cultures. Literary fiction is considered if it has a clear structure and plot, but vague or purely sensory storytelling is not a fit. While light elements of fantasy or magical realism grounded in the real world may be considered, traditional science fiction, fantasy, and historical fiction are not being sought. Children’s, YA, nonfiction, and poetry are also outside the scope of interest.Approaches
