Description

Handles genre fiction with emphasis on horror, kid-horror, high-concept standalone fantasy rooted in contemporary settings, speculative fiction, magical realism, and accessible or near-future science fiction, along with select middle grade nonfiction. Interest extends to middle grade novels and graphic novels with crossover appeal, sharp and heartfelt kid-horror, ensemble casts, intercultural stories, sibling-centered narratives, and explorations of nontraditional family structures. Nonfiction for this age group is welcomed when focused on history, STEM, or complex topics explained with clarity, especially through creative use of the comics medium. Young adult submissions are encouraged when offering high-concept ideas, strong voice, character-driven arcs, horror with psychological depth, inventive fantasy, near-future science fiction, unusual dystopias, and romance or romcoms with fresh perspectives, including diverse leads and platonic soulmates. Adult fiction is considered selectively, with preference for romance, atmospheric horror, contemporary fantasy with grounded worldbuilding, and thrillers with mystery, particularly those featuring diverse or underrepresented voices. Graphic novels across age ranges are sought when the medium is used dynamically, with interest in kid-horror, magical realism, fantasy, speculative fiction, and science fiction, as well as compelling memoirs and adult horror.
