Description

Our goal is to create high quality nonfiction works. Our primary areas of focus include works about Kentucky, as well as interesting biographical works. We are interested in identifying and publishing works by emerging authors with unique ideas. We also have the goal of including books about notable landmarks and city/county histories.

Our books are available at fine bookstores across America, as well as online through Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble. Our books are also available direct through our website. Our works can also be found in libraries and various speciality stores and gift shops.

Feel free to look around our site and email us with any questions you may have.

Submission Instructions:

These guidelines are meant to assist you in submitting manuscripts, which are likely to be of interest to us.

We actively seek works from highly motivated writers in a variety of subject areas. We specialise in nonfiction works focusing on areas such as travel, history, biography and instructional books. We are also very interested in works about the state of Kentucky, its places, and its citizens.

We generally do not publish collections of poetry, fiction, horror, romance or auto-biographical works.

Many of our submissions come from un-agented and first-time authors.

Please observe the following instructions for submissions:

Please enclose a cover letter with the manuscript describing your work, the intended age of the audience, your other publications if any, your motivation for writing, your goals as a writer, and relevant background.

As a part of our environmentally friendly policy we prefer that submissions be made via email. Word or PDF files may be attached to emails. Please submit ideas and manuscript materials to one of the editors listed on the website.

If submitting a hard copy of your work please enclose a SASE. If an SASE is not enclosed, we will not be able to respond. Please allow at least three months for response.

User feedback

It took them six-eight weeks to respond to a query letter. But they did and were very professional and have shown courtesy in their response. They did ask for a manuscript submission. I am awaiting a response to same.
