Description

Handles an eclectic group of authors. We are currently seeking authors with a fresh voice and a professional approach. Query by email only.

[Note: We have received a report of someone submitting to this agency being referred to "Literary Agents Showcase", which appears to be a site which charges fees for "showcasing" writers' work, in the hope that agents will trawl through it to find new talent. We would advise writers to bear in mind that good and honest agents are usually inundated with submissions they struggle to get through and the last thing they are likely to do is go out of their way to look at the work of writers online who couldn't be bothered to submit to them directly in accordance with their submission guidelines.

We would also remind writers that there are an awful lot of scam literary agencies who prey upon writers to make money. Such scams are always keen to find submissions from writers, advertise heavily on search engines like Google, and could also use sites like "Literary Agents Showcase" as a "sucker list" of writers willing to pay fees to get an agent. The site does include claims of successes obtaining agents, but these do not specify which agents, so it is impossible to tell whether they were reputable agents who will promote the writers, or scams that will exploit them.

Writers should also bear in mind that sometimes agencies are set up as fronts for other operations which are designed to make money out of exploiting writers. There is no evidence to suggest that this agency was set up purely to promote "Literary Agents Showcase", however if, when submitting to this agency, you are referred to "Literary Agents Showcase" please leave feedback to this effect. We have been unable to verify if there is any connection between the two websites as both have been registered to a private registration company designed to conceal the identity of the registrant. Both websites have been registered to the same private registration company, but this may be co-incidence and should not be taken as evidence of a connection between the two companies.]

But English is my language from birth plus four others fluently. How many for you? I also carry two passports - American and Australian plus a few other cards - French, Russian, Lao, Uzbek. What is you criteria for submission to your Literary Agency?

On Sun Jun 5 16:00 , info@ukliteraryagency.com sent:

With English not your first language, it would be extremely difficult for us to work with you.
