The international website for this agency indicates quite strongly that they do not accept any kind of approach with any kind of submissions, ideas, or suggestions, in any format. However, listings elsewhere indicate that the London division does accept submisisons (which must include a letter and sample chapters), and this appears to be backed up by user feedback (below).

I received a reply within four days from this agency. The letter was written to me personally...not the standard rejection slip. Ilona Chavasse stated that she had read the material I sent with interest, and found it to be both engaging and heartfelt. She went on to mention a couple of parts which made me feel she had actually read it, but then went on to say it wasn't right for them. (Unfortunately she didn't say why????) This is the nicest rejection letter I have received to date.

Rejection letter did not give personalised feedback but was one of the kindest I have received. If this seems unimportant to you, you clearly haven't been trying long enough yet.

I received a prompt, but standard rejection letter which indicated clearly that my material had not been read.
