This agent represents picture books through young adult, with a particular emphasis on illustrated works and a limited number of adult projects from existing clients. They are currently seeking character-driven or holiday-themed picture books from author-illustrators, middle grade fiction with historical or contemporary settings, puzzles and mysteries, and retellings of classic tales. Upper middle grade and lower YA submissions should be highly commercial with low page counts, while YA and crossover projects may include romantic fantasy, historical romcoms, twisty mysteries, and genre blends with dystopian or paranormal elements. Graphic novels should explore contemporary themes and be submitted by author-illustrators only. Non-fiction for children and teens is welcomed if it offers a fresh perspective on familiar topics. Recurring interests include witches, boarding schools, ballgowns, disguised royalty, sisterhood, and Pacific Northwest settings. They are rarely drawn to slapstick humor, heavy sci-fi, portal fantasy, time travel, military themes, rhyming texts, or issue-driven books.Approaches
