I sent my quary letter and immediately heard back from Laurie McLean. She wanted to see more so I sent her my materials and she immediately rejected them. Not fun to be rejected but nice to hear yes or no within forty-eight hours

Less than three weeks after sending my packet, I received a form rejection letter which also listed the agents' books, one of which is "How to Get a Literary Agent! (I have it and had followed its guidelines!) Letter indicated that selling books by new writers is becoming more difficult, which paints a dismal picture for newcomers like me. Information was provided re a $545 writers' conference in San Francisco.
