She is especially interested in speculative fiction, literary science fiction, thrillers, magical realism, reimagined fairy tales, and contemporary novels with elements of mystery, horror or suspense. Work that is haunting yet beautiful, with lyrical prose and unexpected turns, is particularly welcome. She is keen to champion underrepresented voices and seeks stories where diverse experiences are integral rather than exceptional.
