What is DPI?

"DPI" means "Dots Per Inch", and tells you how finely defined a picture is. For professional printing, an image needs to be 300 DPI.

Don't forget that this means 300 DPI in its original state – there is no point expanding a small image and then saving it at 300 DPI – this will just create a highly defined picture of a blurred image!
