What is an unsolicited mss?
An unsolicited mss is a manuscript which has not been requested. Many agents and publishers will not accept unsolicited mss, but this does not necessarily mean they are closed to approaches – many will prefer to receive a short query in the first instance. If they like the idea, they will request the full work, which will then be a solicited manuscript.
