"I'm currently writing my third novel and expect to be completed with the (first draft) manuscript in less than a month.

My first novel was vanity "published" in October of 2003. At the time I honestly didn't know any better. What a difference a couple of years makes. The biggest difference of all, however, occured when I joined firstwriter.com.

After completing my second novel in August of 2004, and knowing now first-hand that a vanity "publisher" is really not a publisher at all, I decided to try the traditional path.

So I decided to look for an agent. I soon learned how extremely difficult it is to find one that's interested. I'd say it was in the fall of '04 when I began my search in earnest, compiling a relevant list thanks to firstwriter.com. I found your site while researching agents on the internet.

My break came a few months after I joined firstwriter.com. After scores of queries, submissions and rejections (both before and after my membership), I found a well grounded agency that is excited about my work. I was offered a contract, which I accepted.

I honestly believe that without firstwriter.com I would still be papering my study with rejection letters. You've provided the means for a much better chance to be published someday.
