Additional informationSeeks to build a creative haven for writers, artists, and actors who wish to express truth, beauty, and goodness in their work. To this end, the members of the audio theatre try to create a friendly environment where all are welcome to participate as part of Christâs body, whether as contributors or as listeners.
We believe with J. R. R. Tolkien that âwe have come from God, and inevitably the myths woven by us, though they [may] contain error, will also reflect a splintered fragment of the true light, the eternal truth that is with God. Indeed only by myth-making, only by becoming âsub-creatorâ and inventing stories, can Man aspire to the state of perfection that he knew before the Fall.â We believe that storytelling â as a creative act â is one example of how God created us in his image. By crafting stories that utilize our God-given creative energy, we believe that we join with him in bringing truth, beauty, and goodness to the earth.
In engaging in our work as sub-creators under the great Creator, we use our imaginations and the talents that we have been given to craft works of art that we hope will inspire others to create. We know that the imagination is key to our efforts, and is a great gift from God. Therefore, we strive to create inventive stories that help our listeners to engage with their imaginations, in the hope that their willingness to experience invisible things might help them to a better understanding of the invisible God.
