Additional informationWelcomes your mindful industry, your cogent commentary, your cub reporter scoops ALL: we look to expand the umbrella of our participation to include your most worthy cultural movements. This is a free monthly newspaper (centred in Chicago, with loose national distribution) informed by a diffuse, non-commercial, communitarian ethos.
We seek creative nonfiction that draws from the shadow places of news:
arcane history, radical commentary, science, insightful journalism, Chicago colours, lucid moments of your drugged over hour. Our tent spreads very broad; well-written and engaging journalism of all stripes (church reviews, the crime beat, finance, sports) will be savoured.
We are not very interested in your fiction, poetry, rants, or narcissistic first-person narrative. Sorry.
Please write with further enquiries and questions.
Note also: you will be paid AT MOST two soft pats on the back.
