Additional information

Online zine devoted entirely to writing about ice hockey. This is a chance for fans, players and sportswriters to spread their wings and get creative about a sport that is underrepresented in the literary world. I'd like to prove that the hockey world is about more than barbarians with sticks and the uneducated clods that watch them. Rather it is a sport with some of the most passionate fans and players in the world.

I'm looking for personal experiences, short stories, book reviews, and essays about everything from favorite hockey memories, what you love most about the game, and there's even a section for venting about the things you don't like.

Above all, I'm looking for passionate works. As a reader, I tend to lean towards the humorous, as well as deep, personal stories that really make you care. However, I'll accept most anything if it's entertaining,well-written, and of course, in some way related to hockey. Previous publication is not a requirement. Send finished piece with query. See the website for individual guidelines.

Debut issue slated for January 2005.
