You can tell a lot about a service from the reasons people cancel it, and what they say about it when they do.
Of all those who cancel their firstwriter.com accounts, 24% do so simply because they successfully get the information they need, and the site has done its job. A further 20% do so because they no longer have time to devote to their writing. 46% of the cancellations are accounts we cancel due to problems with payments, such as expired credit cards. Many of these customers then open new accounts with new cards.
Of all those who subscribe, only 1.5% close their accounts because they are unhappy with the listings, and just 1.2% are able to find the information they need for free elsewhere.
