J. Paul Dyson

Managing Editor

J. Paul Dyson manages firstwriter.com and acts as Fiction and General Editor for firstwriter.magazine. He is also the editor of several legal titles published by Sweet & Maxwell Ltd, including the British Company Law Library, and the German Tax and Business Law Guide.

Paul was previously the Fiction Editor for Lateral Moves. He was the winner of the 1999 John Traherne Prize for Creative Writing, runner-up in The David Thomas Charitable Trust's 2000 Yorkshire Ghost Story Competition, and has had work featured in several publications, including Exhibit :A, The Dream Zone, and Skyline Literary Magazine.

Nick Britton

Poetry Editor

Nick Britton is the Poetry Editor of firstwriter.magazine, and also critiques poems as part of firstwriter.com's editorial services. He is also the Managing Editor of That's Shanghai magazine.

Nick was previously the Poetry Editor for Lateral Moves.

Sherry Wilson

Editor

Sherry Wilson edits and critiques fiction and prose as part of firstwriter.com's editorial services. As a fellow writer, Sherry brings to her edits and critiques an understanding of a writer's needs. She knows that a writer wants an objective review of the work – one that will improve the writing, not destroy the confidence.

Sherry has a special fondness for children's literature. The first chapter and synopsis of her new young adult work-in-progress, Taming The Beast was recently short-listed along with five others for the SCBWI Canada Northern Lights Award. She won a scholarship to an Advanced Book Writing and Marketing course at the
Institute of Children's Literature for her short story, "Ghost Dare". She is a member of SCBWI. http://scbwi.org She has edited and critiqued a wide variety of both fiction and non-fiction.
